January 21, 2009Concert Overload! Not that I'm Complaining
As I mentioned in my last post, music is one of the greatest parts of my life. And concerts are perhaps one of my favorite pastimes despite the fact that they don't come my way very often being from Indiana. But things are starting to look up here musically as all of a sudden tours seem to be coming here left and right. But my problem is that there are so many that I'll be broke by the time summer tours roll around. But you know what? It will be worth every penny of it. In any case, with the news about all of these concerts coming to me, I thought about all of the times I actually went to concerts and what I sacrificed to get there. So I composed a list of all of the concerts that I went to (at least all the ones that I remember). This is not a list to brag, but a list to show how much i love music and how diverse my taste is. Trust me there are a lot of them and this will shape up to be quite a task.
1. Leann Rimes- I can't believe that once upon a time I liked Country.... 2. Backstreet Boys- For all of us who are older than 15, you had to choose a side N'SYNC or BSB? 3. Spice Girls- No making fun 4. John Mayer- 3 times He is incredible on the guitar 5. The Killers 6. Elton John- Crocodile Rock! 7. The Who- Let me tell you it was spectacular, they've still got it 8. Warped Tour and all they entail 9. Fall Out Boy- twice Honda Civic Tour, and I traveled to see them with AAR, soon to be three 10. Maroon 5- My obsession- I traveled from Indianapolis to Raleigh, NC the last time 11. The American Idol tour- yes I watch the show, but my favorites are the rockers i.e. Daughtry and David Cook 12. The All-American Rejects- see # 9 13. Projekt Revolution 2007 14. Nickelback- ewww, I don't like them at all 15. Jason Mraz 16. The Fray- Twice- new album coming soon! 17. PATD- twice, once on the Honda Civic and the other for Rock Band Live 18. Yellowcard 19. OK Go 20. Daughtry 21. The Sassyback Tour 22. The Compromising of Morals Tour 23. Bill and Trav's Bogus Journey 24. Jon Mclaughlin 25. Tom Petty! 26. Augustana 27. Teddy Geiger 28. One Republic See that's a lot right, and that's only naming the headliners of each tour... But this year/spring is shaping up to be pretty big. I'm going to see Jason Mraz in Feb. We the Kings with The Maine, The Cab, and There for Tomorrow in March Bamboozle road show in April and to wrap it up the Killers and FOB in May, could things get any better?

January 18, 2009Newbie
Hey,
So i am so obviously new here at buzznet, but only as far as having a profile goes. I have been coming to the site for quite some time now and I finally decided that I wanted a profile of my own for two reasons. 1) I am in love with music. I go to an average of 10 concerts a year simply because I feel like listening to music live is the way to go. It's practically a drug to me, which is good cause I don't do real drugs I just go to concerts. Reason 2) I love photography. I think that this site is truly innovative in that encourages young folks to get out there and have fun, expressing themselves through photos. It truly is a beautiful thing. I myself am an avid photographer, I mean I take pictures everywhere. My favorite time though is when I go to my concerts so I am sure those will be rolling in all of the time. But to begin my time here at Buzznet, I am going to start by uploading a ton of my older photos (some really recent) from concerts and some others that I just think are a good example of my work. So while no one will probably see this journal post, I thought it was important for me to give a reface to all of the photos I will be loading over the next few weeks. Thanks for viewing! -Kayla
